Chief Strategy Officer at music innovation PR firm rock paper scissors, Tristra has been a creative force in music PR for nearly two decades, crafting strategy for clients at every stage of the business cycle and in many music innovation niches, from B2B back-end services to DTC music-making gear.

With over 20 years of writing, editing, and research experience plus a PhD to her name, she's known for synthesizing copious amounts of knowledge at the speed of light. Tristra's work is driven by a love of music that stems from her days as a record store employee, continuing through her career as a professional singer and as a concert presenter in New York, and into her life as a publicist. She writes novels and researches history in her spare time.

Mikhail Kirilin is a public relations manager working in fintech with 12 years of content marketing, community, event management and highload support team background. He spent the past two years developing the public relations and community management department from scratch in MuseScore (acquired by Muse Group), a free open source notation editor and freemium sheet music catalog.

Previously, Mikhail created an editorial team for one of the biggest Russian streaming platforms Zaycev.net to rework the whole site's content.

After taking part in a local promo group and organizing dozens of rave events, Mikhail started his own electronic music digital label called Harder & Louder Recordings in 2013 and released its first 12" release in 2016.

This event will revolve around how to approach your music career from a product marketing perspective, monetization hints and the classical music community management experience.
CHASE BETHEA: HOW TO START AS A VIDEO GAME COMPOSER

Chase Bethea is a freelance composer that has shipped 19 titles in his ten years of experience and specializes in adaptive music scoring that align to player mechanics.

Some of his credits include games such as I Can't Escape Darkness, Aground, Aztec Ride, Potions Please and more! His soundtrack for "Cubic Climber" earned a Noteworthy on Destructoid.

In 2016, Chase was nominated for Artists of the Year – Independent Composer by VGMO in the entire industry.

More of Chase's accomplishments include being Game Revolution's first team streamer as well as first Game Audio professional to be featured on a Gaming Website for his Behind the Scene composing series, "How to Make Game Music".

He is also a co-host of Game Audio Hour Podcast and one of the iASIG Steering Committee Leaders.

The event will be discussing how Chase started out as a composer in the video game industry, software, his advice for young aspiring composers, and the history of video game music.
FIRESIDE CHAT WITH VASILY RATMANSKY

Vasily Ratmansky is a Ukrainian/American composer pursuing his masters degree at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. He has worked in commission and workshop settings with ensembles such as Unheard-Of// Ensemble, PanSonus, Manhattan School of Music Composers' Orchestra, Yarn/Wire, and William Lang from Loadbang.

Vasily is a member of the InfraSound Ensemble not only as a performer and composer, but as the video editor for their online releases. He has studied with Reiko Füting, Susan Botti, and Daniel Ott and has participated in masterclasses and workshops with Lewis Nielson, Natacha Diels, Harvey Sollberger, and Andrew McIntosh. His musical explorations are often centered around personal art music and art as experienced in safe spaces versus unsafe spaces.

We will be discussing Vasily's journey as a composer, his thoughts on the future of the composition industry, and his advice to young musicians. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session.
